Community Engagement Program
The Community Engagement program provides people with developmental and intellectual disabilities the opportunity to stay active, give back, and thrive through employment, recreation, and meaningful community integration. This program ensures people have access to enriching, person-driven experiences that align with their interests and goals while helping communities benefit from and support their contributions.
As a community-based alternative to traditional day habilitation programs, all services in the Community Engagement program are delivered within the community rather than in a designated facility. This approach helps people stay connected, engaged, and fulfilled throughout the day. To offer impactful experiences, Compass provides two key services: Employment Services and Community Development Services.
Employment Services
Compass offers comprehensive support to help people achieve their vocational and financial goals, from job preparation, job search, follow-along supports, and skill development.
Community Development Services
Community Development Services foster meaningful recreation and community engagement opportunities. This service is delivered completely within the larger community, and can include pursing hobbies, volunteering, and other community events for enrichment and development.
