Host Homes offer a natural and welcoming environment where the focus is on building meaningful relationships and supporting independence. Whether living with a couple or a family, people in this program benefit from the security, encouragement, and freedom to take risks, work, and engage in their community.
About Our Program
Shared Living services include recruiting, matching, and supporting Host Homes to ensure a safe and enriching living environment tailored to each person’s preferences and needs. Key aspects of the program include:
- Recruiting for Host Homes providers (Matching)
- Facilitating recruitment and matching services of individuals and Host Homes based on the individual’s preferences and choices
- Overseeing quality management and monitoring compliance with program requirements once the arrangement is established
- Compensation to Host Home for additional household cost

Host Home support ensures that the individual is safe and free from harm and has the support and security to take risks, work, and participate in community activities. The primary responsibility of a Host Home is to make a natural home where the family or couple provides a welcoming home and works to achieve a mutually satisfying and meaningful relationship. The Host Home arrangement may be either with:
- A couple sharing their home/apartment
- A family sharing their home/apartment
