All employees who work for Compass, Inc’s direct support programs are required to complete mandated training within 90-days of hire in order to support the individuals in our programs in a safe, individualized manner. In addition to state-required training, employees receive training to best support the individuals to whom they provide support to include training on specific and individualized conditions, behavior support strategies, communication boards, and anything else deemed necessary by the individual’s team.
Our training is provided in our main office and also on-site through on-the-job/experiential training. Training is provided by certified facilitators, staff mentors and seasoned personnel. It is our commitment to ensure that all direct care staff receive the highest quality, state of the art training. Training is also ongoing to ensure that our direct support professionals keep current with skills, with changes in individual needs, and changes in information/best practices, and changes in regulations.
