Ande has been Compass, Inc’s Executive Director since 2008.  She previously worked as an Associate Executive Director with The Arc of Prince George’s County from 2001-2008, as Assistant Director of Residential Services with The Arc of Howard County from 1996 to 2001, as Program Coordinator with The Arc of Montgomery County from 1995- 1996, and as a Direct Support Professional in a variety of shifts/positions with Systems Unlimited.  Ande also has experience providing Music and Activity Therapy to aging adults at the Milestones Adult Day Center and Crofton Convalescent Center.

Ande currently serves on the Boards of Directors for The Maryland Association of Community Services, The Association of Community Services of Howard County (Board President), and the Ellicott City Patriots Youth Football and Cheer Program (Co-Director of Cheer and Poms).  She is a current Commissioner on the Howard County Commission on Disability Issues and is an active member of Leadership Howard County, InterACC- Montgomery, and the Prince George’s Providers Network.

Ande holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music (Music Therapy) from the University of Iowa and a Master’s Degree in Special Education with a Concentration in Severe Disabilities from The Johns Hopkins University.



Sue Cooper, Director of Finance

Sue joined Compass in January 2016 as the Director of Finance.  She previously worked as Director of Finance at Opportunity Builders, Inc. (2013-2016), another agency serving the developmentally disabled.

In addition, Sue has over 25 years of experience in financial and strategic consulting, working primarily with non-profit healthcare providers including acute care hospitals, long-term care facilities, mental health hospitals and rehabilitation agencies. Past employers include KPMG and McBee Associates.

Sue holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from The Johns Hopkins University.

Jenoyce has been with the agency since 2004 serving as Director of Health Services and a Delegating Nurse/Case Manager.  She previously worked as the Nurse Manager at Devereux Children’s Center in Washington, DC from 1999-2004, and has a broad range of experience from Med Surgical to Psychiatric Nursing.

Jenoyce is passionate about working in this community and enjoys supporting Individuals with Disabilities. Jenoyce holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Wilmington University.

Joan has been the Director of Human Resources at Compass since 2009. She has over 30 years of
experience working for organizations that support individuals with disabilities. Starting out early in her career as a direct support staff she has also held positions in case management program management and administration.

Joan previously worked for United Cerebral Palsy of Washington DC (UCP) for 17 years. Her many roles there included serving as an Activities Coordinator, Director of Day Services and for six years as Director of Human Services.

Prior to working at UCP, Joan worked  for Georgetown University Child Development Ctr., Forest Haven project where she worked as a Case Manager and Administrator and assisted with outplacement and transition of adults with developmental disabilities to live in the community. Joan holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Oberlin College.

Elizabeth joined Compass, Inc. in June 2015 as the Director of Community Living. She previously worked as the Executive Director for Second Family Adult Homes from 2013-2015. She has over 10 years working in organizations serving individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health diagnoses.

Elizabeth started her career as a psychiatric technician (direct care staff) in an inpatient behavioral health hospital, Potomac Ridge. She has also worked as a Behavioral Rehabilitation Clinician, Assistant Program Director and Program Director.

She is passionate about enriching the lives of those she serves and supporting them in the pursuit of their dreams.

Elizabeth holds a Bachelor’s Degree from University of Maryland Baltimore County in Psychology with a concentration in Clinical Psychology and an expected Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from Utica College

Kim joined Compass, Inc. in September 2015 as the Director of Employment and Day Services. She previously worked for the Arc of Howard County as Program Manager for Project SEARCH Howard. Project SEARCH is a transition to employment program for transition age students with disabilities. She has worked in the field of disability and family supports for over 15 years. She created the Family Support and Resource Center for Howard County Public Schools (HCPSS), managed the healthcare grants at Parents’ Place of Maryland and co-directed a small special education advocacy non-profit called Parents for Parents.

Kim attended the University of Maryland, College Park and is a graduate of Partners in Policymaking. She is active in Special Olympics, member of Howard County SECAC (Special Education Community Advisory Committee), and is a former board member of the Arc of Howard County and the Howard County Autism Society.

qadriyyah Qadriyyah Johnson, Director of Quality Advancement

Qadriyyah has been with Compass, Inc. since November 2016. Qadriyyah previously worked with the City of Alexandria as a Therapist/Support Coordinator. Qadriyyah started her career as a direct care staff and after school counselor. After graduating from college most of her career and experience has been in Residential Services for individuals with disabilities and Quality Assurance in residential services and Psychiatry. Qadriyyah has been working in this field for 9 years.

Qadriyyah attended The University of North Carolina at Greensboro and received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Qadriyyah received her Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling with a specialization in Executive Leadership from Liberty University in Virginia. Qadriyyah is currently pursuing her MBA with a concentration in Public Administration.


Doug Ramsey

Doug Ramsey supervises a Maintenance team of 3 to maintain Compass’s facilities and vehicles.  His specialties include plumbing and tiling, but he has done everything from simple bathroom remodels to two-story home additions.  Doug has been doing maintenance work for the past 10 years, previously working on a construction team for Ardo Construction, and The Arc of Prince George’s County.  Doug has been a member of the Compass team since 2008.
